Kubernetes Foundation

This Kubernetes training course is designed to provide technical staff with a comprehensive foundation to Kubernetes. All of the core features of Kubernetes orchestration are covered including, Pods, Labels, Volumes, Controllers, Services and more. The course takes attendees from installation to Pod deployment and management through a combination of lecture, demo and hands-on lab exercises where students will gain experience configuring and managing Kubernetes Pods, Deployments, Replica Sets and Services. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of Kubernetes, how it operates in a container-based enterprise, and will have learned the skills and knowledge necessary to begin using Kubernetes.

Kubernetes Advanced

This advanced Kubernetes training course picks up where RX-M's Kubernetes Foundation leaves off and is designed to provide experienced Kubernetes users with a detailed look at the administration and deployment of the Kubernetes platform through a combination of lecture, demonstrations and hands-on lab exercises. This course will give attendees a better understanding of Kubernetes features including the scheduler, replication controller master, kublet and service proxies.

Attendees will also get a chance to work with Kubernetes add-ons including DNS, container registry, web UIs and cluster monitoring. Students will gain hands-on experience configuring and managing Kubernetes features and functions in a live Kubernetes lab cluster and will also have a chance to work with Kubernetes in the cloud. Those attending will leave with a clear understanding of the more advanced features of Kubernetes and how they operate in a container-based enterprise.

Kubernetes for Cloud Native Developers

This Kubernetes for Developers course is designed to provide working developers with a comprehensive introduction to Kubernetes resource definition. Students will gain hands on experience with Kubernetes manifest coding from pod basics all the way through advanced topics such as stateful services, volumes, auto scaling, configuration and secret usage. Skills developed include Pod specification and common pod design patterns, various Pod set manager configurations, service configuration, DaemonSet configuration, batch jobs and more. Best practices are covered in class and through the hands on lab exercises accompanying each module. Upon completion of the course attendees will have the skills and information necessary to begin coding effective application manifest for sophisticated cloud native applications.

Securing Kubernetes

This intensive two day hands-on course is designed to provide working platform operators and other technology professionals with a comprehensive introduction to the processes and practices around securing Kubernetes. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of Kubernetes and container based security concerns. Day one focuses on foundational security concerns including securing cloud native applications, container isolation, image security and network policy/segmentation. In day two students will gain hands on experience with Kubernetes authentication, control plane security, etcd security as well as RBAC configuration and management. The class concludes with a look at key logging and metrics monitoring as well as Kubernetes security auditing features. Upon completion of the course attendees will have the skills and information necessary to effectively secure a production grade Kubernetes cluster.

Kubernetes Day 2 Operations

This three day hands-on course is designed to provide Kubernetes operators with a deeper look at the Kubernetes platform and the tasks associated with maintaining and running a production cluster. The course provides attendees with key day two operations knowledge and experience through a combination of lecture, demonstrations and extensive lab work. Topics covered include cluster backup and recovery, upgrades, observability, etcd management, troubleshooting and much more.

Kubernetes Networking

This two day hands-on course is designed to provide Kubernetes operators with a deeper look at networking in the Kubernetes environment, providing attendees with concepts and practical hands on skills for working with a range of Kubernetes networking solutions. Topics include L3 and L4 solutions, Core Kubernetes network functionality, DNS, and network policy.

The Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) programs were created by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), in collaboration with The Linux Foundation (LF), to help develop the Kubernetes ecosystem.
