SAN FRANCISCO (Nov. 17, 2020) – RX-M, a leading cloud native technology training and consulting firm, has announced that registration is now open for the first-of-its-kind Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) training course. CKS certification signifies an individual’s “competence across a broad range of best practices for securing container-based applications and Kubernetes platforms during building, deployment and runtime,” according to The Linux Foundation.
RX-M’s intensive five-day program, which is also available for private engagements, is designed to provide technology professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to pass the CKS exam. The curriculum includes lecture, discussion, demonstrations, hands on labs, and timed drills, leaving attendees with a clear understanding of Kubernetes and the essential skills required by Kubernetes administrators and security professionals.
CKS requires candidates to hold a current Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification. RX-M is offering a complimentary CKA boot camp to anyone registering for an open enrollment bootcamp for the CKS exam.
“We are thrilled to be the first and only company providing an intensive hands-on, instructor-led training course and in-class CKS certification exam,” said Randy Abernethy, RX-M Managing Partner. “We are uniquely qualified to provide this training. In addition to participating in the development of the CKS certification exam, we were also part of the committee that helped the Linux Foundation formulate the Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exams.”
Skills covered by RX-M’s CKS training include securing Kubernetes installation and configuration, ‘least privilege’ network configuration, cluster and system hardening, appropriate use of encryption, hard multitenancy implementation, supply chain security and auditing, and Center for Internet Security best practices.
