FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions about Open Enrollment Courses
What does an open enrollment course fee cover?
An open enrollment course fee covers access to the course content, hands-on labs, and support from the instructors to ensure participants can successfully complete the training and apply the skills learned. Our CNCF Certification Boot Camp Programs (CKA, etc.) also include a voucher for the proctored exam at the conclusion of each course.
Which attendance method should I choose for this course - in-person or virtual?
Each option has its own benefits and potential drawbacks to consider. For example, in-person training allows for a more dynamic experience with the training instructor and offers engaging camaraderie among attendees.
Should the course require travel to attend, virtual training can be more cost-efficient when factoring in travel costs as well as more comfortable for those who learn best in an environment of their choice such as a familiar space at work.
Our suggestion is to choose whichever format will facilitate the best learning experience for you.
What are the professional backgrounds of the instructors?
RX-M’s AI, Cloud Native, and DevOps training courses are delivered by subject matter experts in AI, Cloud Native and open source software. Our training team of forward deployed engineers have decades of software, platform architecture, and development experience combined with extensive curriculum development and delivery backgrounds.
Do you offer discounts for groups?
Yes, discounts for groups can be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to availability. For group discount information, please contact us by email at info@rx m.com or call our team at 415-800-2922.
All of RX-M’s courses are also available for private in-house delivery should your group prefer to train at your organization.
Can an open enrollment workshop be converted into a private program for my team?
Absolutely. Many of our enterprise clients use open enrollment sessions to evaluate our instructional frameworks before rolling out a tailored training program for their entire organization. If you have a group of five or more, we can deliver a private session that is mapped directly to your specific tech stack, internal tools, and scaling goals.
What services do you provide after the training?
After attending training with us, there are opportunities to continue your cloud-native education with additional training. We’ve strategically put together a catalogue of over 150 cloud-native and DevOps courses that cover the entire cloud-native landscape.
Additionally, our team offers cloud-native consulting services, where we can work side by side with you on all kinds of projects.
What if my company offers tuition reimbursement?
RX-M accepts students enrolling via employer-led tuition reimbursement programs as well as a variety of other employee tuition scenarios.
Please reach out to the RX-M team at [email protected] for more information about enrolling under an employee tuition reimbursement program.
Is the training vendor-specific (e.g., only for AWS or Azure)?
No. RX-M is committed to a vendor-neutral approach. While we utilize major cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for our hands-on labs, our instruction focuses on the underlying open-source technologies—like Kubernetes and Agentic AI frameworks—that allow your organization to maintain flexibility and avoid vendor lock-in.
What sets RX-M’s Agentic AI and AIOps training apart from generic AI courses?
Our workshops move beyond basic prompting and model theory to focus on Agentic Systems Engineering and AIOps orchestration. As a charter member of the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF), we teach the architectural principles of the Agentic SDLC, enabling your team to build autonomous, production-ready workflows that integrate seamlessly with your existing Cloud Native infrastructure.
What is the class format?
Our training courses are led by an instructor either in-person or virtually and consist of lectures, hands-on lab work, exercises and purpose-built demos modelled after real-world scenarios.
What size are the classes?
Our classes typically range from 5 to 15 people depending on the course. Our maximum class size for open enrollments is 16.
What are the available payment options?
Payment for all of our open enrollment courses can be made via credit card on our website or by phone. Please reach out to us at 415-800-2922 if you would like to use a purchase order.
Does RX-M offer government pricing?
RX-M offers government discounts and pricing on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to us at [email protected] or 415-800-2922 to discuss if your agency or office is qualified for a government discount.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
A full refund will be made for class cancellations made at least 21 calendar days prior to the course start date, which is the first day of class.
Payment is non-refundable for cancellations or reschedules made within 21 calendar days from the course start date and for no-shows.
For reschedules made within 21 calendar days from the course start date, students must reschedule immediately for a current, published course, up to a maximum of six months from the original date.
If the course registration was purchased in conjunction with a promotion or special program, a pro-rated refund will be issued to account for paid services received by the student.
Student substitutions are allowed at least 5 calendar days prior to the class delivery start date, provided the substitute meets the course prerequisites or is approved by RX-M. Substitute students will be bound to the same Terms and Conditions of the original registration.
Notifications for cancellation and reschedules must be submitted in writing to RX M at [email protected].
Are your Cloud Native workshops aligned with industry certifications?
Yes. Our Cloud Native programs are specifically designed by the architects who helped develop the CNCF certification standards. We provide comprehensive preparation for the Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD, CKS, KCNA, and KCSA) exams, the Platform Engineering (CNPA, CNPE) exams, and CNCF Associate exams (Certified Argo Project Associate, Istio Certified Associate, Prometheus Certified Associate, etc.).
Beyond passing the exam, our goal is to ensure engineers gain the production-ready skills necessary to drive engineering velocity in complex, multi-cloud environments.
How are certification exams administered?
The certification exam is proctored remotely by PSI under a partnership with The Linux Foundation/CNCF. RX-M coordinates all individual and group exam sessions.
For additional information on exam process and requirements, see the exam handbook: https://docs.linuxfoundation.org/tc-docs/certification/lf-handbook2.
Upon completion, exams are scored automatically and barring any exceptions or technical difficulties, a score report will be sent to the candidate via email within 24 hours from the time that the exam was completed.
For performance based exams (non multiple choice exams) there may be more than one way to perform a task on an Exam and unless otherwise specified, the candidate can pick any available path to perform the task as long as it produces the correct result.
Will I earn a certificate?
RX-M’s Certification Boot Camps include a proctored exam at the conclusion of the class. If the student receives a passing score an official certification will be awarded from the Linux Foundation or related certification body.
