AI Ethics prepares students to take the Certified Ethical Emerging Technologist (CEET) exam across three intensive days. The course helps attendees learn to navigate data-driven emerging technologies, such as AI, machine learning, and data science, ethically. They use techniques that minimize risk and guide decision-making around inclusive, responsible, and trusted technology design. Attendees also learn how to design and assess algorithms in alignment with ethical standards. This helps avoid further inequity across race, gender, and marginalized populations. It also helps avoid the reputational and financial fallout of ethics violations.
Attendees learn to navigate the wide range of available frameworks and guidelines. This lets them select and implement a strategy that promotes fairness and minimizes risk for their organization. By the end, attendees can lead initiatives that prioritize ethical integrity in emerging data-driven technology fields such as artificial intelligence and data science. They leave prepared to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Day one opens by promoting the ethical use of data-driven technologies. Attendees distinguish AI from data science concepts and assess the potential risks of bias. From there, attendees turn frameworks into actionable steps by comparing competing models against applicable regulations and international best practices. Day two puts theory to work. Participants analyze a sample AI model and build a plan to mitigate its identified risks. They also design a crisis communication plan for managing stakeholders during an ethical controversy. Day three closes by creating and leading an ethical organization, developing a code of ethics and evaluating it with internal and external stakeholders. The course then shifts into exam prep, drilling the CET-110 blueprint. Attendees also practice with the PearsonVUE and Pearson OnVUE testing environments ahead of the certification attempt.

Upon completing AI Ethics, participants will be able to:
- Understand fundamental/foundational concepts related to ethics in data-driven technologies

- Pass the Certified Ethical Emerging Technologist (CEET) Exam CET-110
