This two-day hands-on course is designed for participants who are involved in defining or deploying a DevOps testing strategy for their organization, as test engineering is the backbone of DevOps and the primary key for successful DevOps pipeline to support digital transformation. The course addresses testing in a DevOps environment and covers concepts such as the active use of test automation, testing earlier in the development cycle, and instilling testing skills in developers, quality assurance, security, and operational teams.


Available for Instructor-Led (ILT) in-person/onsite training or Virtual Instructor-Led training (VILT) delivery; Open Enrollment options may be available.

What Attendees will learn

Attendees will gain a practical understanding of DevOps testing and understand the difference between DevOps testing and other forms of testing. The course reviews test tools, automation, strategies, management, and results analysis.

The Continuous Testing Foundation course positions attendees to successfully complete the Continuous Testing Foundation (CTF) exam. This course is offered with or without the CTF exam.

  • DevOps testing and business benefits
  • DevOps testing best practices including culture & organization changes, process & team friction, how to measure success, motivation strategies, and continuous evolution
  • DevOps pipeline including test & pre-flight strategies, test environment, and topology orchestration
  • Test automation frameworks including test tools, selection criterion, and automation metrics
  • Test case & suite best practices and design
  • DevOps management tools and test management metrics
  • Integrating DevOps results analysis


An understanding and knowledge of common DevOps terminology and concepts and related work experience are recommended.
