The Introduction to FoundationDB course is a two day hands-on course which is designed to provide technology professionals with an introduction to FoundationDB. Attendees should leave with a clear understanding of the basic architecture of FoundationDB, how to design effective storage solutions using FoundationDB and a solid understanding of the FoundationDB architecture.
Delivery
The Introduction to FoundationDB training is available for Instructor-Led (ILT) in-person/onsite training or Virtual Instructor-Led training (VILT) delivery; Open Enrollment options may be available.
Who Should Attend
This course is intended for Developers, IT and QA Staff, Technical Managers, DevOps, and Build Personnel.
What Attendees will learn
This course provides an architectural introduction to NoSQL systems and the FoundationDB database. Students will learn the principles behind the FoundationDB key value storage cluster and how its characteristics impact the design and use of layered data solutions. The course covers directory and subspace creation, keys and general data modeling best practices. Students will also learn how to perform transactions, work with complex data types, use a range of programming models as well as how to tune and debug programs. Upon completion attendees will have the skills necessary to begin developing applications using FoundationDB.
