Knative Foundation gives technology professionals a comprehensive introduction to the Knative Kubernetes extensions across two intensive, hands-on days. Attendees leave with a clear understanding of how the platform streamlines the developer experience for cloud native applications. Day one opens with an architecture overview that frames Knative as serverless middleware running on top of Kubernetes, then attendees build and deploy a simple application to see the platform in action. From there the course moves into Knative Build, covering source-to-container build orchestration that turns application source directly into a running container image without a hand-written Dockerfile. The first day closes with complex builds, where students compose multi-step build templates that chain several build stages together into one repeatable pipeline.
Day two opens with Knative Eventing, introducing the event-driven model before attendees design and run applications that react to events rather than direct requests. Knative Serving follows, covering request-driven scaling and ingress configuration that lets services scale to zero when idle and back up automatically under load. The course closes with monitoring and managing applications in production, giving attendees the operational skills needed to keep deployed workloads healthy over time.
Students gain hands-on experience configuring a complete Knative and Kubernetes environment on their own lab system. By the end, attendees have the skills needed to begin working with this serverless middleware in a production setting.
