Blockchain Foundation gives developers, security professionals, and other technology staff a hands-on introduction to the principles and practices behind modern blockchain technology. Day one opens with a blockchain overview and a look at distributed ledger systems, then moves into cryptocurrencies and other blockchain applications. The opening lab has attendees build a simple blockchain from scratch, giving them a concrete feel for hashing and block linking. A second lab then has them assemble a working distributed ledger among peers. Cryptocurrency sessions follow with hands-on exercises transacting on a live network. The day closes with a land-title transfer lab showing how a shared ledger can replace a paper-based registry.
Day two grounds that theory in four widely deployed systems. Attendees explore Bitcoin’s architecture and mining model. They then turn to the Linux Foundation’s Hyperledger project to see how permissioned, enterprise-grade networks differ from public chains. An Ethereum lab covers account models and transaction mechanics. The course finishes with a smart contracts lab where attendees write and deploy contract logic of their own. By the end, attendees have the knowledge to evaluate different blockchain technologies and a solid foundation for deeper exploration.
