Hyperledger Fabric Foundation is an in-depth, hands-on course for developers, security professionals, and other technology staff. It covers the principles and practices behind smart contract application development on Hyperledger Fabric. Day one opens with a blockchain overview and a look at distributed ledger systems. From there, it moves into an introduction to Fabric and how a Fabric network operates. Each module includes a hands-on lab that deepens understanding of the topics covered. Day two shifts to application development, with labs that incrementally build a smart contract application in NodeJS. Upon completion, attendees have the knowledge and skills needed to build practical applications on Hyperledger Fabric.
The opening labs have attendees build a simple blockchain from scratch, then construct a basic distributed ledger. This gives them firsthand insight into how blocks link together and how consensus keeps replicas in sync. From there, they install and run a working Fabric network and explore its running components, including peers, orderers, and channels. This shows how transactions move through the system.
On day two, attendees configure a NodeJS development environment, then write code that queries and updates ledger state through the Fabric SDK. A dedicated smart contracts module has them create and test chaincode logic that enforces business rules directly on the ledger. The course closes by expanding that application with additional features, giving attendees practice extending a working Fabric application rather than just studying one.
