Certified Argo Project Associate (CAPA) Boot Camp with Exam immerses attendees in continuous delivery with the Argo CD platform across two hands-on days. It builds the knowledge needed to pass the Certified Argo Project Associate exam. Day one covers Argo CD basics, application management, deployment history and rollbacks, and complex deployment patterns, including projects, multi-tenancy, and RBAC. Day two goes in-depth, covering application repository patterns such as App of Apps, ApplicationSets and generators, Argo CD observability and debugging, and multi-cluster deployments. Attendees develop skills in Argo CD installation, CLI and web operations, syncing with Git solutions, and Helm integration. By the end, attendees understand application deployments, release automation, and more.
Attendees start by exploring both the Argo CD command line and web interface. They work with desired and observed state reconciliation as they create and sync their first application from a Git repository. A managing applications module has them roll back deployments and enable automated syncing before layering in Helm-based releases. Day two’s application patterns module goes beyond App of Apps to cover multiple sources for a single application, and the ApplicationSets segment has attendees populate templates with generators before executing patterns at scale. An observability module teaches attendees to track application status and trace lower-level deployment issues surfaced through Helm and Kustomize. The course closes with a multi-cluster installation lab, where attendees register remote clusters and deploy applications across them.
