Hyperledger Fabric for Developers is an in-depth, hands-on course introducing developers and other technology staff to the principles and practices behind smart contract application development on Hyperledger Fabric. The course can be delivered in a 1-3 day format.
Day one begins with a blockchain overview and coverage of its use in distributed ledger systems. Attendees learn the Hyperledger Fabric framework, chaincode, and the various Hyperledger SDKs. Each module includes a hands-on lab that gives attendees a deeper understanding of the topics. During day one, students set up a development environment on their lab system and build a simple NodeJS Hyperledger Fabric application. This ends the one-day version of the course.
Day two opens with application operation issues, including organization, user and channel setup, security, keys, certificates, and authN/Z. Attendees explore application design and chaincode APIs, along with a detailed look at the NodeJS SDK. Day two labs include projects involving smart contract development, security configuration, and client-side application development. This ends the two-day version of the course.
Day three moves into production-centric topics, covering multinode, multi-peer networks with multiple orderers running on Apache Kafka. Attendees also cover best-practice application design, logging, and event streaming. Day three culminates with a lab featuring the development of a complete corporate bond transaction application.
